The first question that springs to mind when designing a new range of loudspeakers is, understandably enough, simply this: ”Why?”

After all, there are already so many good loudspeakers out there. But upon closer scrutiny, one discovers that the vast majority of them are a mere 50 – 110 cm tall with two, three or four drivers or a d’Appollito configuration. These forms are chosen largely because they are practical for the manufacturer and because consumers typically select loudspeakers based on appearance and with due diligence to spousal approval. Actual sound quality is rarely a priority.

But a realistic soundstage must extend beyond the rear of the speaker cabinet as well as above the top of the cabinet and vocalists are usually much taller than 1 metre.

With this in mind, AMPLI High End loudspeakers are created to achieve natural, realistic sound in all three dimensions with no compromise in size, materials or cost. To achieve our ambitious sonic objectives, we take the very best from existing design principles (dynamic, electrostatic, etc.) and employ only the finest materials.
